IX5 graphics and network optimisation settings
Repeatable performance over peak numbers

Optimise IX5 for the Full Match, Not the First Minute

The best competition setting is the one a supported device can hold through an entire round while keeping controls and communication responsive.

Optimisation is a controlled process. Establish a baseline, change one setting, test under realistic load and keep only improvements you can reproduce.

01

Create a realistic baseline

Use the current app and game version, your normal network and a practice mode that resembles the event. Record frame stability, heat, loading and control response before changing anything.

A baseline prevents a temporary network improvement from being mistaken for a graphics fix.

  • App and operating-system version
  • Graphics preset and frame-rate target
  • Connection type and location
  • Device temperature and session length
02

Balance visual clarity and sustained frame rate

Lower decorative effects before reducing information needed for play. Shadows, post-processing and high-resolution textures may cost performance without improving competitive decisions.

Choose a frame-rate target the device can maintain. An unstable high target can feel worse than a lower consistent one.

03

Reduce background interference

Pause automatic updates, large downloads and cloud backups during the event window. Use do-not-disturb controls that preserve required calls, lobby messages and team voice.

Keep battery optimisation from closing essential competition apps, but avoid disabling every power control across the device.

  • Close streaming and editing apps.
  • Allow only essential notifications.
  • Keep adequate free storage.
  • Restart after major updates.
04

Verify the final setup under match-length load

Run a practice block as long as a scheduled round and observe the second half. Heat and memory effects often appear after the initial test.

Once stable, document the settings and stop experimenting. Return to the baseline if a change creates a new fault.

Repeat the test after a major app or operating-system update because performance profiles can change. Keep a screenshot of the final settings so an accidental reset can be corrected without rebuilding the setup from memory.

Questions players ask

Useful answers before the next match

Choose the target the device can sustain without excessive heat or instability.

Begin with decorative effects that do not carry important competitive information, then test.

When the setup remains stable across a full practice block similar to the event and further changes add no clear benefit.
